TIP: How to Get Those New Background Images
The Journal 6 Build #759 (released this month) includes some new paper backgrounds, but existing users won’t see them automatically. You will need to do this:
1. Click on the User menu and choose “User Images…”
2. Click on “Load Image”.
Browse into this folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\DavidRM Software\The Journal 6\Image
(Or the “Image” sub-folder of wherever you have TJ6 installed.)
You will need to load each image, one at a time:
graphpaper.jpg
linedpaper.jpg
oldpaper-1.jpg
oldpaper-2.jpg
texturedpaper-blue.jpg
texturedpaper-gray.jpg
texturedpaper-green.jpg
texturedpaper-lavender.jpg
3. Once you’ve loaded all the images, you can use them in your entries. Click on the Format menu, Entry Background sub-menu (also, now on the editor’s right-click menu), and choose the background image you want.
You can use those same steps to load your own background images into The Journal. You don’t need to store them in the same folder, though. Any folder will do.
